REU at Georgia Institute of Technology (SENIC)
NNCI REU Program at Georgia Institute of Technology
Currently, the program is tentative. Check back early spring for more information. If the program moves forward, it will take place at the Georgia Tech site, part of the Southeastern Nanotechnology Infrastructure Corridor (SENIC).
The Institute for Electronics and Nanotechnology at Georgia Tech will offer its summer REU program with recruitment focused on students attending schools in the southeastern US, including Puerto Rico.
This ten week program provides undergraduates with a variety of hands-on research projects spanning the breadth of nanoscale science and engineering utilizing state-of-the-art instrumentation and facilities (http://cleanroom.ien.gatech.edu/ and http://mcf.gatech.edu/). Students work closely with faculty and graduate student mentors to complete a high-quality project during the ten weeks. There are also professional development offerings including a communications workshop and one on applying to graduate school. We expect to host 10 students. Weekends offer a time to explore Atlanta and other attractions in the southeast.
