This is a series of nine posters based on the book Big Ideas in Nanoscale Science and Engineering: A Guidebook for Secondary Science Teachers by S.Y. Stevens, L.M. Sutherland, and J.S. Krajcik (NSTA Press 2009). Each poster provides a description of the “Big Idea” and its associated “Learning Goals”. Included are nanoscale examples, cutting-edge applications, and questions to ponder. These posters were developed under NanoTeach, an NSF sponsored program that developed and tested professional development models on nanoscale science content and delivery methods for high school teachers.
