NanoEarth Education and Outreach

NanoEarth at Virginia Tech offres the following educational programs:

·         Paired with industry partners (e.g. Agilent, JEOL) NanoEarth hosts professional development workshops where participants learn about cutting edge instrumentation and research topics.

·         NanoEarth hosts groups of students (secondary school/pre-college/college) for lectures, demonstrations, and tours of our facilities to learn more about how nanotechnology effects the Earth and environmental sciences and how electron microscopy can be used in related research.

·         Our Multicultural and Underrepresented Nanoscience Initiative (MUNI) strives to provide an opportunity for inspiring underrepresented groups to pursue nanoscience degrees and careers.
