Hiding Behind the Mask: Selective layering in semiconductor manufacturing

This lab is designed to help students understand one aspect of semiconductor manufacture: selective layering. Students will use a transparency to design their own mask and etch the design on to metal using a inexpensive and commercially available etching device.
